About the client and the project:
Robotics software company developing platforms for autonomous mobile robots. The role leads engineering for a platform product that connects business demand with planning, orchestration, fleet operations, execution visibility, analytics, and integration into customer environments for autonomous mobile robot operations.
What you will do:
- Own and evolve the technical architecture of the platform's backend and application layers.
- Define architectural principles, engineering standards, service boundaries, APIs, events, and data responsibilities.
- Design and review scalable, reliable, high-performance distributed systems.
- Guide decisions on concurrency, asynchronous processing, networking, retries, recovery, and fault handling.
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, including frontend engineering through team leaders.
- Define technical strategy and priorities together with product management.
- Manage technical risks, architectural dependencies, and cross-team integration points, balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform evolution.
