Your New Role
As Head of Privacy & Data Protection Officer (DPO), you will lead the global Privacy, Data Protection and AI Governance function. This is a strategic, international role focused on building and enhancing governance frameworks that support regulatory compliance while enabling business growth and innovation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and business functions, providing expert guidance on privacy, data protection and AI-related matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the global Privacy, Data Protection and AI Governance programme.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on regulatory obligations and risk management.
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR and other global privacy regulations.
- Embedding privacy-by-design principles across products, services and projects.
- Driving AI governance initiatives and providing guidance on emerging technologies.
- Managing privacy incidents, risk assessments, DPIAs and Records of Processing Activities (RoPA).
- Supporting vendor and third-party governance processes.
- Delivering training and promoting a strong culture of privacy and responsible AI.
- Collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Security and Technology teams globally.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Degree in Law and strong expertise in Data Protection and Privacy.
- Solid experience working within multinational and complex business environments.
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR and broader global privacy regulations.
- Experience interacting with regulators and supervisory authorities.
- Exposure to technology, telecommunications, SaaS or other data-driven industries.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence senior leadership.
- Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT or AI-related credentials will be considered an advantage.
- Fluent English is essential.
