Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Italian-speaking customers, handling inbound inquiries related to shipments, freight bookings, delivery tracking, and cargo status via phone, email, and live chat.
• Provide accurate, timely, and professional information regarding shipping schedules, transit times, customs documentation requirements, and freight rate queries.
• Assist Italian-speaking clients with the end-to-end management of their shipping orders, including booking confirmations, amendments, and cancellations in line with company procedures.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues related to delayed, damaged, or missing shipments, escalating complex cases to the appropriate freight operations team when necessary.
• Liaise effectively with internal logistics, operations, and warehousing departments to ensure the seamless flow of information and the swift resolution of customer concerns.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and shipping transactions within the company's CRM and freight management systems.
• Proactively communicate shipping updates, service disruptions, or regulatory changes to Italian-speaking clients to ensure transparency and build long-term customer trust.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring customer pain points and sharing actionable feedback with the wider customer service and operations teams.

Requirements

• Native or fluent Italian language skills (both spoken and written) are absolutely essential for this role, as you will be communicating exclusively with Italian-speaking customers on a daily basis.
• Valid EU passport (mandatory for employment eligibility).
• A solid command of English is required for internal communication, reporting, and coordination with the US-based shipping operations team.
• Previous experience in customer service, logistics support, freight coordination, or a related shipping and freight environment is highly advantageous.
• Strong computer literacy with the ability to navigate CRM platforms, ticketing systems, and freight tracking tools efficiently and accurately.
