We are looking for an experienced MICE Sales Proactive Manager to join our Commercial team.

 

This is a highly proactive sales role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships and creating new business opportunities. You'll be the face of Highgate Portugal within the MICE industry, connecting with clients, attending networking events, conducting sales visits and representing our portfolio wherever business opportunities arise.

Challenges you'll love
Drive new MICE business opportunities across Highgate Portugal's hotel portfolio.
Develop and execute a proactive hunting strategy to identify and convert new corporate, agency, association and incentive clients.
Build strong relationships with event planners, DMCs, PCOs, corporate buyers and strategic partners.
Generate qualified leads through networking, prospecting, sales missions, trade shows and client visits.
Conduct impactful presentations, negotiations and commercial proposals tailored to client needs.
Expand Highgate's presence within national and international MICE markets.
Collaborate with hotel commercial and operational teams to deliver successful client experiences.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging business opportunities.
Achieve ambitious revenue targets while continuously growing the MICE client portfolio.
Represent Highgate Portugal at industry events and commercial initiatives.

 

 

What you need to shine in this role
4–5 years of experience in hotel sales or business development, with a strong focus on the MICE segment.
A genuine proactive mentality, with proven success in generating new business.
Established network within the meetings, events, corporate travel or incentive industries.
Excellent commercial instinct and outstanding negotiation skills.
Self-motivated, independent and results driven.
Comfortable working in a highly mobile role, spending significant time visiting clients and attending events.
Strong knowledge of international MICE markets.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a strong advantage.
Availability for frequent national and international travel.
Experience using hotel sales and CRM platforms such as Opera, Delphi, Salesforce or similar.
Passion for hospitality, networking and creating long-term client partnerships.
