About the job

The Information Technology Operations Department (ITO) of Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) Global Markets deals with documentation and operational management of securities issues by BNP Paribas Issuance, dedicated to CIB Global Markets and supporting sales teams located mainly in Europe. The documentation mandate consists mainly of the final terms and supporting documents, which will be drafted according to templates issued by LEGAL. Issuance Operations consist of pre-trade tasks (data reconciliation, International Securities Identification Number (ISIN), code activation, agent’s information)

Securities Issuance Officer tasks are within the activity of issuing certificates and warrants for the divisions “Equity Derivatives” and “Exchange Traded Securities”

Your Main Activities Are

Prepare documentation of issues on underlying equities, indices, BNP Paribas proprietary indices, commodities, currencies, and Exchange Traded Fund (ETF). The documentation consists mainly of the final terms and supporting documents which will be drafted according to templates issued by LEGAL

Review and validate certain documents automatically generated by Front Office systems

Ensuring the consistency of program documentation with the terms and templates drafted by LEGAL

Take over the formalities for depositing documentation of structured securities issues with market authorities, financial agents, quotation exchanges or clearing systems

Ensure administrative formalities (e.g. drafting notices) in connection with events affecting securities issues (issuing call events, corporate actions, increases, adjustments, etc.), in accordance with the procedures and templates established by LEGAL

Adjust internal databases following these events

Be a proactive partner with Front-Offices, Back-Offices, financial officers and other stakeholders in the broadcast chain for the successful completion of the closing and rating of the broadcasts

Interacting with the lawyers of the Securities Issuance Group (SIG) Paris legal team to (i) contribute to the improvement of the legal templates for the coverage of issues, and (ii) maintain the level of automation of the drafting and workflow tool used for the securities issuance activity

Maintain the databases of the documentation of securities issues

Ensure a high level of execution concerning the daily production of the Final Terms

Validate inside cut-off period all Exchange Traded Securities (ETS) issuances for the region in charge. Be able to escalate to IT support (Ecommerce, Equity Derivatives (EQD) Drafter) as well as other related stakeholders when necessary

Strive for rigor and accuracy of the drafting Templates available on the Issuemaster library

Participate and contribute to activity optimization and projects and promote initiatives/innovations within the team that can make our daily work more efficient

Profile and Skills to Success

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting

Up to 2 years of professional experience in Banking and Financial Operations

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Pack

Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Good understanding of stock market products and structured securities

Good organization skills and ability to manage priorities

Attention to detail

Able to communicate and work with other teams and departments
