Strategic Partnerships Lead
Merck
Senior role focused on developing and executing a strategic partnerships agenda with healthcare system stakeholders and institutional players. The position requires leading cross-functional collaboration across the organization to design innovative partnership models that deliver value for patients, health systems, and the business.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead strategic partnerships plan with priorities, governance metrics and performance tracking
- Identify, assess and shape partnership opportunities with institutional stakeholders and health system players
- Design and negotiate partnership models that create shared value and strengthen business impact
- Lead cross-functional partnership initiatives from concept through execution with internal team alignment
- Establish trusted relationships with senior external stakeholders and manage strategic account plans
Requirements
- Senior experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related sectors with partnerships or strategic account management background
- Strong strategic thinking with ability to build business cases and translate complex dynamics into actionable plans
- Proven leadership of cross-functional initiatives and complex projects without formal authority
- Solid business acumen including understanding of market dynamics, health system priorities, and financial implications
- Demonstrated negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders
- Comfort with data analytics, digital tools, and GenAI-enabled approaches to support decision-making
- Degree in Business, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Economics, Public Health or related field
