We are looking for a full-time attorney to join our in-house legal team who will apply a pragmatic, creative, and thoughtful approach negotiating customer and partner contracts and providing legal advice to business teams.  As a member of this close-knit, highly collaborative team, you will be encouraged to take projects from start to completion, while aligning with Siemens’ internal processes and policies.

This position is based in Portugal.  Under the direction of a senior level attorney, you will provide legal advice and guidance for Siemens Industry Software’s (SISW) software licensing, cloud services and professional services projects in the DACH region and for other legal matters as requested from time to time.

Your mission will be…

• Negotiate, draft, and advise on software license and cloud services agreements related to the outbound licensing of SISW’s software including cloud based and on-premise solutions and related professional services. 
• Negotiate, draft and advise on partner and distribution agreements for the indirect sale of SISW’s software and related services.
• Manage the flow of requests for specific legal agreement review and secure necessary approvals from the applicable business, finance, and operations leads.
• Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders including SISW’s sales, finance, and operations teams.

We are looking for someone with…

• Fluent knowledge of German language (able to negotiate agreements)
• Ideally German qualified attorney or solid knowledge of German law
• 3-4 years’ experience reviewing, negotiating, and drafting various technology related agreements, including software license, cloud services and professional services agreements, within a global organization.
• Hands-on transactional experience handling basic and complex intellectual property and commercial legal issues, with an ability to advise on liabilities, legal rights, and remedies available to SISW.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond promptly to shifting priorities.
• Ability to work and communicate well in an international, multi-layered organization with a global team while providing pragmatic, business-oriented advice for problem solving.
• Respectful and highly collaborative, but with ability to work independently.
