About the role

CloserHire is partnering with a leading global customer experience company to recruit Technical Support Specialists for an international digital platforms project based in Lisbon, Portugal. This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for technology, customer support, and problem-solving. You will provide first-line technical assistance to customers using AI and cloud-based solutions, helping them resolve technical issues while delivering an outstanding customer experience in a fast-paced international environment.

What you'll do

• Provide first-line technical support for customers using AI and cloud-based solutions
• Respond to customer queries and service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Troubleshoot and resolve standard technical issues using established procedures and support documentation
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues through the appropriate internal channels
• Maintain high service quality and operational efficiency across all customer interactions
• Support customers across international markets and multiple time zones
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective issue resolution
• Follow compliance, process, and quality requirements at all times
• Contribute to a consistent and positive customer experience
• Support shift-based operations, including weekends and public holidays when required

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Technical Support
• Basic understanding of APIs, JSON, and common status codes, with a willingness to further develop your technical troubleshooting skills Fluent
• English, both written and spoken
• Strong critical-thinking skills, particularly when reviewing AI-generated responses or automated support guidance
• Willingness and ability to learn basic “vibe coding” and perform simple technical tasks as part of routine support activities
• Basic code literacy, including the ability to understand and interpret simple API call examples
• Ability to follow established procedures and effectively troubleshoot and resolve standard support issues
• Curious, analytical, and eager to continuously develop your technical knowledge

Salary

920€ x 14

Portuguese contracts pay 14 salaries a year — your normal monthly salary plus a holiday and a Christmas salary. The annual figure is therefore well above monthly × 12, which is worth doing the maths on before you compare it to an offer at home.
