Senior Application Support Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to work in Porto who's eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity! What is this challenge about Design and develop high-quality, maintainable software components; Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts and stakeholders to deliver business solutions; Participate in software architecture discussions and contribute to technical improvements; Develop and maintain automated tests and support testing activities; Perform code reviews and promote coding best practices; Prepare releases, technical documentation and deployment activities; Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), product demonstrations and user documentation; Handle functional and technical support requests from business stakeholders; Investigate and resolve production incidents with the product team; Monitor and troubleshoot issues across development, testing and production environments; Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives and Backlog Refinement); Contribute to the product backlog by creating and refining technical backlog items. What we are looking for Minimum 9 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, production support or similar roles; Strong experience working with both Linux and Windows environments; Good level of English — minimum B2 (mandatory); Nice to Have / Preferred Skills Experience with VTOM or other enterprise scheduling tools; Knowledge of scripting languages such as Shell, Python and/or PowerShell; Experience with application and web servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, Apache and/or IIS; Experience with databases such as Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server and/or MySQL; Experience with infrastructure backup solutions; Experience with monitoring tools, ideally Zabbix or Grafana; Knowledge of LDAP, Firewalls, Reverse Proxies, Active Directory and Kerberos; Basic knowledge of networking.
