Automation Specialist (Senior) - Ansible AAP / EDA / IaC

We are currently looking for:  Automation Specialist (Senior) – Ansible AAP / EDA / IaC

Requirements:

• Develop and maintain automations using Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including:
  • Idempotent playbooks
  • Job templates
  • Inventories
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Create reusable and parameterized automation standards and frameworks.
• Build and maintain an automation catalog for first-line support and operations teams, based on prioritized use cases.
• Automate VM lifecycle management and platform operations (VMware/Azure), incorporating appropriate guardrails and audit evidence.
• Implement Event-Driven Automation (EDA) and integrate with ITSM platforms where applicable.
• Automate common platform tasks, including:
  • Service restarts
  • VM operations
  • Basic remediation activities
  • Provisioning and configuration tasks
• Produce and maintain automation documentation, including:
  • Knowledge Base (KB) articles
  • Runbooks
  • Rollback procedures
  • Acceptance criteria
• Measure and report automation value through KPIs such as:
  • Adoption rates
  • Success and rollback rates
  • Time savings
  • Impact on MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution)
• Collaborate with Observability teams to establish controlled and traceable "detect-to-act" workflows.

Professional Experience (Required)

• 5+ years of experience in automation, DevOps, or infrastructure automation roles.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible (ideally Ansible Automation Platform) in production environments.
• Experience integrating automation with enterprise platforms and technologies, including:
  • VMware
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Active Directory
  • Firewalls
  • Windows and Linux environments
  • APIs and third-party integrations

Professional Experience (Preferred)

• Experience with Event-Driven Automation (EDA).
• Experience with ServiceNow integrations.
• Experience building and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines for automation.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, particularly with Terraform.
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD best practices.
• Knowledge of security practices in automation, including:
  • Secrets management
  • Approval workflows
  • Audit trails and compliance controls

Technical Skills

• Ansible / Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)
• Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Python
• API integration and automation
• Automation design patterns and reusable frameworks
• Infrastructure automation best practices

Location: Lisbon, - Hybrid 2x

Range Salarial 2.300€ – 2.700€ net monthly
