Are you a detail-driven Accounts Payable Specialist with strong German language skills looking to step into an international, fast-moving environment? We are partnering with a highly innovative global organisation seeking a talented Accounts Payable Accountant to join their growing shared services team in Lisbon. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accounts Payable Accountant to develop within a collaborative, multi-market finance function while leveraging your German, Excel, and ERP systems expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including preparing and executing payment runs as an Accounts Payable Accountant
• Reconcile supplier accounts, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely payments in line with German market requirements
• Maintain accurate financial records within ERP systems, ensuring all accounts payable transactions are recorded correctly
• Review and process expense claims, ensuring compliance with policy and strong attention to detail using Excel
• Support month-end activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting as part of the Accounts Payable Accountant function

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Accountant or in a similar accounts payable role (minimum 2 years)
• Fluency in German and English is essential for this Accounts Payable Accountant position
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and familiarity with ERP systems in an international environment
• Highly detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and support stakeholders in a German-speaking business unit
