Our client is a multinational service provider within Legal, Regulatory, Taxation and Advisory.
- Join a new hub from a company in the financial services sector.
- Lead impactful AML/KYC initiatives.
Description
- Lead complex KYC and Customer Due Diligence (CDD/EDD) reviews for individual and corporate clients.
- Manage onboarding, remediation, and periodic review processes for medium and high-risk clients.
- Assess complex ownership structures and identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs).
- Investigate AML alerts, sanctions screening results, and potentially suspicious activities, escalating cases where required.
- Ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations, internal policies, and global regulatory requirements.
- Support the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of compliance frameworks, policies, and controls.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance assessments.
- Prepare and present compliance reporting, risk metrics, and management information to senior stakeholders.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to junior team members.
- Partner with Risk, Legal, Operations, and Business teams to ensure effective management of financial crime risks across the client lifecycle.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- 4-8 years of experience in Compliance, AML/KYC, Financial Crime, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulations, sanctions, customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex client onboarding, periodic reviews, and high-risk customer cases.
- Solid understanding of corporate structures, beneficial ownership requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and make sound compliance decisions.
- Experience interacting with regulators, auditors, and senior stakeholders is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are considered a plus.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced international environment.
