At BindWorks, we're looking for an AI / Generative AI Engineer to join an innovative project where Artificial Intelligence , Software Engineering and Cloud come together to build intelligent, scalable, and production-ready solutions. What You Will Do Design and develop AI-powered applications and intelligent services Build and integrate solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures Develop AI Agents and Agentic AI workflows Integrate foundation models from OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock or similar platforms Build robust data ingestion, embedding and retrieval pipelines Work with Vector Databases and semantic search technologies Implement model evaluation, monitoring and observability practices Design guardrails, output validation and responsible AI mechanisms Optimize AI solutions for quality, latency, scalability and cost Collaborate with Software Engineering, Data, Cloud and Product teams Take AI solutions from prototype to reliable, production-ready systems What We Are Looking For Required 3+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, AI, Machine Learning or Data Engineering Hands‐on experience developing AI or Generative AI solutions Strong programming skills in Python Solid understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, Embeddings, Semantic Search, RAG architectures Experience integrating AI models through APIs and SDKs Strong Software Engineering fundamentals and system design understanding Experience with Git, CI/CD and Agile methodologies Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills Good communication skills in English Highly Valued OpenAI / Azure OpenAI Anthropic Claude AWS Bedrock Google Gemini / Vertex AI LangChain LangGraph LlamaIndex Semantic Kernel AI Agents & Multi‐Agent Systems Function Calling / Tool Use Vector Databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, Chroma or OpenSearch Docker & Kubernetes FastAPI MLOps / LLMOps MLflow, LangSmith or Weights & Biases Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP AI Engineering & Production Production‐grade RAG systems Agentic AI and autonomous workflows LLM evaluation and benchmarking Model monitoring and observability Hallucination detection and mitigation Guardrails and output validation AI security and privacy Responsible AI and governance Human‐in‐the‐Loop systems Prompt and context optimisation AI cost and latency optimisation Tech Stack Generative AI & LLMs AI Agents & Agentic Workflows RAG & Semantic Search Python & FastAPI LangChain | LangGraph | LlamaIndex Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic Vector Databases MLOps & LLMOps Docker & Kubernetes Evaluation, Monitoring & Observability AI Guardrails & Responsible AI What We Offer Opportunity to build real AI solutions beyond proofs‐of‐concept Exposure to LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI and modern AI architectures Challenging projects with real business impact Technically strong and collaborative teams Technical autonomy and ownership Continuous learning and certification opportunities Exposure to emerging AI technologies and engineering practices Flexible Hybrid/Remote working model Long-term project stability Close support from BindWorks throughout your journey Location Lisbon or Porto, Portugal Hybrid #J-18808-Ljbffr
