Role description:

As an Electronics Development Engineer , you will play a key role in designing and developing hardware solutions for test and measurement platforms. Your responsibilities will range from hands-on PCB design, prototyping, and debugging to cross-functional collaboration and compliance with industry standards - all aimed at delivering reliable products, supporting calibration workflows, and driving innovation in electronic system development.

Hardware Design & Development: Design, develop, and maintain multilayer PCB schematics and layouts for test and measurement platforms.
Electronic component selection and evaluation: Analyze datasheets, evaluate lifecycle status, and propose suitable alternatives or replacements.
Prototyping & Debugging: Assemble and rework SMD-based PCBs, perform manual soldering and reflow processes, and debug hardware prototypes.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation including BOMs, PCB layout guidelines, calibration standards, and test procedures.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve hardware and system performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, QA, Production, and Procurement teams to define testing requirements and integrate hardware/software solutions.
On-site Support: Provide support for software development, calibration systems, and real-time troubleshooting on the production floor.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to internal and external standards including EMC, RoHS, electrical safety, and measurement accuracy.
Design for Test & Manufacturing: Support DFT and DFM practices during hardware development.
Tool Management: Maintain component libraries and version-controlled design files using tools like Altium Designer.

Your profile:

Educational Requirements: Degree in Electronics Engineering or similar field
Work Experience: 3+ years of experience in similar projects and environments
Technical Skills: Experience with measurement systems, instrumentation, or calibration processes is preferred. Proficiency in design tools such as Altium Designer. Familiarity with OrCAD X or KiCad is a plus.
Language skills: Fluent in English and Portuguese; German is a plus
