Location Caldas da Rainha What will be your main responsibilities Produce, review and maintain technical documentation for the AR5 UAS, including system datasheets, technical and user manuals, integration and installation guides, technical reports and validation/testing documentation, and application notes; Analyze and interpret avionics architectures, embedded systems, RF and datalink configurations, payload integration schematics, and ground control system interfaces; Collaborate with systems engineering, avionics/embedded firmware, RF and communications, payload (EO/IR, radar, AIS, SIGINT), and quality and testing teams; Document technical requirements, functional specifications, and interfaces across hardware and software subsystems (flight control, SATCOM/BLOS datalink, ATOL systems, payload management); Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace, defense, and UAS certification standards and norms; Participate in technical reviews and documentation validation throughout the AR5 development and operational lifecycle; Maintain version control and documentation organization across the full AR5 product baseline. Profile and requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electronic, Electrotechnical, or Systems Engineering, or a similar area; Proven experience as a Technical Writer or in a technical role within aerospace, defense, or UAS/autonomous systems; Knowledge of avionics, embedded systems, RF communications, and sensor/payload integration; Ability to read and interpret system architecture diagrams, electrical schematics, communication protocols (MIL-STD, MAVLink, STANAG, or similar), and component datasheets; Excellent written communication skills in technical English.
