Clinical Scientist Director - Late Development Oncology

Amgen seeks a Clinical Scientist Director to lead late-phase oncology trial execution, translating clinical strategy into actionable oversight of protocol compliance, data quality, and regulatory alignment. The role requires hands-on involvement in medical monitoring, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring high-quality, decision-ready trial data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee protocol execution, medical data review, and data quality for assigned late-phase oncology trials
• Conduct medical monitoring, assess subject-level clinical data, identify trends and emerging safety issues
• Present findings internally and externally; manage issues across cross-functional teams
• Guide identification and management of clinical collaborators, consultants, and CROs for key deliverables
• Review and analyze trial data for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory protocol adherence

Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 4+ years life sciences/healthcare experience, or Master's with 7+ years, or Bachelor's with 9+ years
• 5 years pharmaceutical clinical drug development experience preferred
• Proven track record improving clinical trial processes
• Late-phase oncology drug development experience in industry or academia
• Strong written and oral communication skills for scientific and regulatory audiences
• Experience designing, monitoring, implementing oncology trials per GCP and regulatory standards
• Familiarity with clinical data analysis tools such as Spotfire
