CORPORATE TAX CONSULTANT - PORTO

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is currently recruiting a Tax Manager for a prestigious Big4 consulting firm based in Porto.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate and/or international clients.
• Lead tax advisory and tax compliance projects, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.
• Review complex tax computations, tax returns and other tax deliverables.
• Provide technical advice on Portuguese and international tax matters.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary projects involving other service lines when required.
• Monitor tax legislation changes and assess their impact on clients.
• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Identify business development opportunities within existing clients and support proposal preparation.
• Manage project planning, budgets and resource allocation.
• Supervise, coach and develop junior team members, providing ongoing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Promote process improvements and leverage digital tools to increase efficiency in tax processes.

Requirements

• Degree or Masters in Tax, Law, Economics, Management, Accounting or a related field.
• Around 6 years of professional experience in Tax, preferably within a Big4 or another international consulting firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of Corporate Tax and/or International Tax, depending on the service line.
• Experience managing tax projects from planning through delivery.
• Previous experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong client management and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify new business opportunities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
