Footwear Pattern Maker Artisan (m/f/d)

Ateliers du Portugal, is part of one of the largest international luxury groups. At ATEPELI we are dedicated to the production of exclusive leather goods and footwear components. Currently, we have 3 workshops in the north of Portugal, more specifically, in Ponte de Lima, Penafiel and Santa Maria da Feira. This dedicated and experienced professional will be crucial in the execution, optimization, and quality assurance of the uppers produced. Their responsibilities range from interpreting technical drawings and industrializing the model to training the production team, contributing to the excellence and innovation of our products.

Their main mission will be to ensure the quality and optimization of upper prototypes, which will include:

• Interpreting all technical documentation (spec sheets, drawings, etc.).
• Developing technical prototypes and upper models using manual methods and, preferably, CAD software.
• Ensuring that the models meet technical, ergonomic, aesthetic, and production requirements.
• Preparing all stages of prototype assembly.
• Making adjustments and corrections to the models based on validations and testing.
• Collaborating with the industrialization and production teams.
• Ensuring quality control at all stages of the production process.
• Training artisans to increase versatility and support new models and processes.

This position is for you:

• Technical-vocational training in footwear pattern making.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (cutting, preparation, assembly) and materials.
• Preferably experience with CAD software for pattern making.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to stitch a complete upper.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude, resilience, and a strong team spirit.
