We are looking for a Junior Commodity Trader. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong technical, commercial and analytical skills to support and manage commodity trading operations.
Principais responsabilidades
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior traders in the negotiation, execution, and management of international commodity trading activities.
- Monitor global commodity markets, pricing dynamics, freight rates, and supply-demand fundamentals.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and prospective counterparties.
- Prepare commercial offers, pricing calculations, profitability analyses, and trading reports.
- Coordinate shipments, logistics, and contract execution with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, brokers, and logistics partners.
- Support trading risk management and ensure accurate contract administration and documentary compliance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
Perfil desejado
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, International Trade, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in commodity trading, procurement, sales, logistics, supply chain, or a related commercial environment.
- Commercial mindset with strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced international environment and willingness to travel when required.
