This will significantly increase your chances of success About The Opportunity You will join a global Application Production Support team responsible for maintaining the stability, availability and performance of critical Wealth Management data-platform applications. This role combines L1/L2 application support, cloud infrastructure operations, incident management, monitoring, automation and continuous service improvement. You will work in a business-critical banking environment using Linux, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, PL/SQL and observability tools. Main Responsibilities Provide production support for Wealth Management IT data-platform applications and tools. Handle incidents, service requests and application support activities according to established service-level objectives. Analyse operating system, middleware and application logs to identify potential issues and determine root causes. Monitor services and produce operational reports concerning performance, availability and service quality. Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform scripts to automate provisioning, configuration and deployments. Support containerised and cloud-based environments using Kubernetes and Docker. Perform troubleshooting involving Linux, PL/SQL, Dynatrace and cloud infrastructure. Participate in shifts, on-call rotations and production support coverage during weekends and public holidays. Support Disaster Recovery and live-play exercises conducted by the bank. Participate in and validate knowledge-transfer sessions delivered by application development teams. Create, review and maintain application support documentation and knowledge articles. Train and support other operations professionals in Ansible, Docker and Kubernetes. Escalate operational risks, critical incidents and management concerns promptly. Work closely with development teams and global production support colleagues to ensure a stable production platform. Contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR). Ensure production-readiness, monitoring and compliance standards are consistently followed. Mandatory Technical Requirements 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Application Production Support, Infrastructure Engineering or Software Engineering. At least 2 years of hands-on experience with a public cloud provider, such as IBM Cloud, AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform. At least 2 years of hands‐on experience with Ansible and Docker. Strong Linux knowledge, including command-line operations and shell scripting. Proficiency in Python and/or Bash scripting. Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform. Practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker. Experience analysing system, middleware and application logs. Understanding of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI or Concourse. Experience with incident management, service requests and L1/L2 production support. Knowledge of ITIL practices. Availability to participate in shifts, on-call rotations, weekends and public-holiday coverage. Expert-level English communication skills. Highly Valued Experience Experience supporting critical applications in banking or Wealth Management. Strong understanding of core banking operations. Experience with PL/SQL and relational databases. Knowledge of Dynatrace or similar monitoring and observability tools. Experience with Disaster Recovery exercises and business-continuity activities. Knowledge of Service Level Objectives and production-readiness processes. Experience training infrastructure or operations professionals. Understanding of banking compliance, financial security and regulatory requirements. Education and Certifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Automation with Ansible — RH294. Certified Kubernetes Application Developer — CKAD. Developing Advanced Automation with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform — DO374. HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (003) is a plus. HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate (002) is a plus. You combine strong Linux and cloud expertise with hands‐on automation experience using Ansible and Terraform.
