HQ located in Deurne, the Netherlands The role We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to take technical ownership of our Mobile Parking Application team in Porto. This is a hands‐on leadership role where you'll spend at least half of your time writing and reviewing code alongside your team, and the other half leading architecture, roadmap and team development. You're pragmatic, product‐minded and committed to building sustainable software on a mature codebase, treating it as a craft, not a constraint. Writes, reviews and ships production code daily on a mature, live codebase. Defines architecture and owns the technical roadmap, including technical debt and risk. Works with large, operational databases, query optimization, migrations and performance at scale. Mentors junior and mid‐level Software Engineers and sets engineering standards. Serves as the primary technical interface toward the Product Owners and Head of R&D. What we're looking for 5-10+ years of professional software development experience, including mobile applications (iOS and/or Android, native or cross‐platform). Strong back‐end background with hands‐on experience in large, operational databases and the C# /.NET ecosystem. Experienced in leading a development team or acting as technical anchor on a product team. Comfortable working with and improving mature, live production systems. Based in Porto or within 15km, we're looking for a local hire. Excellent written and spoken Portuguese and English. What we offer Competitive base salary, paid over 14 months per year.
