Dark Cloud Games is developing a complex mobile RPG featuring character collection, turn-based combat, crafting, loot, progression, narrative systems, and map-based navigation.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Game UI Artist to transform established systems, prototypes, and art direction into polished, distinctive, and production-ready interfaces.

You will take ownership of the game’s visual UI production, from screen composition and asset creation to visual assembly and refinement in Unity. This is a visual game UI position. Gameplay logic, data integration, system architecture, and complex C# development are handled by the programming team.

You will:

• Design menus, HUDs, pop-ups, overlays, cards, and other mobile game interfaces;
• Translate prototypes and game systems into polished screen compositions;
• Create production-ready UI assets, iconography, components, and interaction states;
• Develop and maintain a coherent visual language across the game;
• Assemble and visually refine interfaces directly in Unity;
• Create UI animations, transitions, and feedback effects;
• Collaborate with programmers during implementation;
• Review builds and ensure visual consistency across resolutions and mobile safe areas.

We are looking for:

• A strong professional portfolio focused on game UI;
• Professional experience designing interfaces for games;
• Advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or equivalent tools;
• Strong understanding of composition, typography, hierarchy, colour, spacing, and readability;
• Ability to create both complete screens and production-ready individual assets;
• Practical experience integrating UI assets in Unity;
• Knowledge of Unity UI, prefabs, scalable sprites, TextMesh Pro, and basic UI animation;
• Ability to work autonomously from established systems, prototypes, and art direction;
• Availability to work on-site in Lisbon.

Experience with mobile RPGs, gacha games, JRPGs, strategy games, UI design systems, DOTween, After Effects, Spine, sprite optimisation, or generative AI workflows is highly valued.
