Marketing Officer (6-Month Maternity Cover)

About the Role This is a full-time, fixed-term six-month contract to cover maternity leave. International Sharing School – Madeira is looking for a proactive and creative Marketing Officer to join our team on a six‐month maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for a marketing professional who enjoys working in a dynamic international school environment and wants to make a meaningful impact on a growing educational community. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the school's visibility, student recruitment, community engagement and marketing activities during an exciting period of growth and inauguration of the new campus. International Sharing School – Madeira is part of the Sharing Group, with international schools in Lisbon, Algarve and Madeira. The school will inaugurate it's new campus in 2026, in the heart of Funchal, located within the historic Seminário da Encarnação. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement marketing initiatives to support student enrolment and brand awareness. Create and manage content across the school's digital channels, including the website, social media platforms, newsletters and email campaigns. Coordinate the production of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, videos and promotional assets. Support admissions campaigns, Open Days, school tours and community events. Collaborate with Admissions, Academic and Leadership teams to gather content and ensure consistent messaging. Monitor and report on marketing performance, including digital engagement, enquiries and campaign results. What We're Looking For Previous experience in marketing, communications or a related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Portuguese. Experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing tools. Strong creative skills with excellent attention to detail. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. A collaborative approach, combined with the confidence to work independently. A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Why Join Us?
