This will significantly increase your chances of success About The Opportunity You will join a global Application Production Support team responsible for the stability and availability of critical Wealth Management data-platform applications and tools. As a senior team member, you will investigate incidents, analyze application and middleware logs, support complex database environments, monitor service quality, and collaborate with business and development teams. You will also participate in disaster-recovery exercises, application knowledge transfers, production-readiness assessments, problem-management activities, and the automation of repetitive operational tasks. Main Responsibilities Application Production Support Provide production support for Wealth Management data-platform applications and tools. Manage incidents, service requests, alerts, and operational issues. Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by business teams. Prioritize activities according to urgency, impact, and Service Level Objectives. Analyze system, middleware, database, and application logs. Identify potential performance, availability, integration, and data issues. Escalate risks and critical matters to the appropriate technical or management teams. Participate in shifts, on-call rotations, weekend coverage, and public-holiday support. Monitoring and Service Improvement Monitor application health, availability, performance, and service quality. Produce operational reports and follow up on service indicators. Contribute to continuous service-improvement initiatives. Identify repetitive tasks and incidents suitable for automation. Support Problem Management activities and root-cause analysis. Help reduce Mean Time to Detect and Mean Time to Resolve. Review and create application-support knowledge articles, procedures, and runbooks. Strengthen monitoring and operational controls to reduce production risks. Operational Resilience Participate in disaster-recovery and live-play exercises. Support production-readiness checks for application releases and changes. Help ensure compliance with operational, security, and regulatory requirements. Validate knowledge-transfer sessions delivered by application-development teams. Ensure that support teams receive the documentation and knowledge required before changes reach production. Collaboration Work closely with application-development teams and global production-support colleagues. Maintain clear communication with Wealth Management business stakeholders. Share risks, incident status, resolutions, and service information transparently. Contribute to maintaining a stable and highly available production platform. Mandatory Requirements Senior-level experience in Application Production Support, IT Operations, or a similar position. Previous L1 or L2 production-support experience in a banking environment. Strong understanding of core banking or Wealth Management operations. Expert knowledge of Unix and shell scripting. Expert knowledge of data warehouses, data platforms, and databases. Strong experience with Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL. Practical experience analyzing system, middleware, application, and database logs. Experience with workload-scheduling tools such as AutoSys. Experience with middleware technologies such as IBM MQ and Tomcat. Practical knowledge of cloud-computing environments. Experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools. Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and Ansible. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools. Knowledge of ITIL practices and service-management processes. Experience managing incidents and service requests according to Service Level Objectives. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Expert-level English communication skills. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a senior Application Production Support professional with strong experience in banking or Wealth Management environments and deep technical knowledge of Unix, shell scripting, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, data platforms, and application troubleshooting. You can analyze complex logs, identify potential production issues, manage incidents according to service targets, and communicate clearly with business and technical stakeholders. You are also comfortable working with AutoSys, MQ, Tomcat, Dynatrace, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and reporting tools. You are proactive, persistent, service-oriented, and calm under pressure. You understand the importance of operational resilience and are available to support critical services through shifts, on-call rotations, disaster-recovery exercises, weekends, and public holidays.
