Software Developer Trainee (IEFP)

Join us as a Software Developer Trainee! We are currently seeking to recruit a Software Developer Trainee to join our team in Porto. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and build skills in .NET enterprise development, WebAPI, microservices and Azure Services within an Agile Scrum team. You will work on high‑availability, multi‑tier platforms, including Microsoft D365, SharePoint Online and Azure Services, using the latest .NET patterns and practices.

Key Accountabilities

• Work in a structured, managed software development lifecycle (SDLC) environment.
• Estimate the effort required to deliver requirements and stories.
• Identify and raise risks and issues throughout the workstream lifecycle.
• Prioritize and sequence work items.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand user and business requirements.
• Support the development team to keep the platform up to date and relevant.
• Assist in building test automation into the delivery process.
• Champion and promote high‑quality software delivery.
• Troubleshoot failures and work with all parties to understand the underlying root cause.
• Provide third‑line application support.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in client‑facing projects.
• Ability to work in a high‑pressure industry with strict deadlines.
• Flexibility and ability to work in environments with changing priorities.
• Willingness to learn and a strong team player.
• Fluent in English.
• Eligible for an IEFP Level VI Internship.
