What is my role like? 

An Accounting Assistant ensures the compliance and accuracy of all the company's financial operations by performing a variety of key tasks. Their main purpose is to provide administrative and clerical support to the accounting department or senior accountants. This work helps to keep financial operations organized and running smoothly.

What will my daily tasks involve?

• Execute daily and monthly accounting entries to ensure accuracy and integrity.

• Prepare and analyze periodic support reports

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and regular account analysis to identify and correct discrepancies.

• Execute monthly employees billing (canteen expenses) and oversee Canteen records.

• Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting and tax legislation and apply new regulations.

• Review, verify, and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies with vendors or internal departments.

• Prepare and process electronic payments.

• Respond to and resolve vendor inquiries and payment-related issues in a professional and timely manner.

• Support the finance team with audits and other ad-hoc projects as needed.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial records and information.
  

What is expected from me?

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as accounting or auditing is a plus

• 2-3 years’ experience.

• Advance or upper intermediate in Excel and experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAGE, SAP, and others.

Soft Skills

• Ensure the precision and accuracy of financial records, minimizing errors and discrepancies.

• Manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines to maintain a smooth workflow and effectively prioritize responsibilities.

• Analyze complex financial data, identify anomalies, investigate their causes, and propose effective solutions.

• Communicate financial information clearly and concisely.
