Preservation Architect

Position Summary As a Preservation Architect you will be responsible for the preservation and restoration of historic buildings and structures in Funchal, Portugal. You will help preserve Funchal's rich cultural heritage while working in a beautiful city surrounded by stunning natural landscapes. Key Responsibilities Conduct surveys and assessments of historic structures. Develop preservation plans. Coordinate with contractors and engineers. Oversee restoration projects. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with local preservation laws and regulations. Preferred Qualifications Degree in architecture or a related field. Knowledge of historical preservation techniques and materials. Strong project management skills and attention to detail. Prior experience in preservation preferred but not required.
