Engagement type: Direct Hiring | Level: Senior | Language: English B2 minimum | Location: Lisbon (hybrid, 2 days/week in office) PROJECT & CONTEXT You'll be designing and implementing scalable management systems for data-intensive pipelines operating at large scale, with high availability, security, robustness, performance, multi-cloud, and multi-tenancy requirements. The role spans the full development lifecycle — from requirement analysis and architecture through coding, CI/CD, TDD, integrations, deployment, and production monitoring — working closely with product management, fellow engineers, architects, and team leads to shape the future of IoT. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 5+ years of software development industry experience in production environments Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot Experience with Apache Flink and/or Apache Spark for large-scale data processing Experience with Kafka or equivalent event streaming/messaging platforms Proven experience building and operating microservices in cloud environments Solid experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases Ability to provide high-standard architecture, design, and implementation across complex, data-intensive systems Strong TDD discipline and excellence across the full software development lifecycle Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders High self-learning ability and strong interpersonal skills Proficiency with agentic development tools and workflows BSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience English B2 or above Based in Portugal , available for hybrid work in Lisbon, between1 and2 days per week NICE TO HAVE Experience with Apache Iceberg and lakehouse architecture Background in IoT Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot , telecommunications, or semiconductor technology environments Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS platforms at scale Experience operating systems with multi-cloud deployment strategies #J-18808-Ljbffr
